On June 5th 2010, there was great excitement on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk - Seasons Pass holders were to get exclusive rides between 10am and 11am on the newest ride "Haunted Castle". However, this was the last thing on the minds of Pete Biggam, Patrick McNett and Feron McGurrin, for them, June 5th 2010 had something far bigger, the launch of www.subculturetelevision.com.
Subculturetelevision is a site dedicated to delivering the best available movies in the "eXtreme" category. From riding a motocross bike at break neck speeds through a forest, to snowboarding backwards down a mountain whilst negotiating a few jumps at the same time, subculturetelevision is looking to deliver the content to you in a site that has the makings of a pretty cool place to hang out. Launched in June 2010, Pete, Patrick and Feron have the usual challenges ahead of them namely, getting the all important traffic to visit, register for an account and upload some movies. However, they have already created the basis of an interesting home for eXtreme sports fans, and with their connections to local pros and film-makers we should start to see more and more content being brought online.

Why it could be a winner
- Not content with simply creating another portal for uploading your favourite movie clips, the guys have really gone out to create a site that will build on the strong networking culture that usually goes hand in hand with eXtreme sports. As well as uploading your latest movie clips, users will be able to trade their redundant gear on-line with fellow subculturetelevision members. The guys have also designed a great range of Sub Culture Television branded gear for their fans and donning the cool Sub Culture Television logo, this range is sure to be a big hit.
Final thoughts
- Pete, Patrick and Feron still have someway to go to establish subculturetelevision.com as the number one place to hang out and they would be wise to add the obligatory "about us" section sooner rather than later. Between them, the guys obviously have talent, some great ideas, and tons of passion. Time will tell us if they can rise to the challenge and grab the attention of casual visitors and convert them to loyal members.
